Grants to cover conference registration for classroom teachers


The African American Educators for the Social Studies Community will help support expenses for up to four classroom teachers who would like to attend the conference in Houston by reimbursing their conference registration fees. If you are a classroom teacher with interest in attending the conference but need a little assistance, please email Loraine Stewart at lmstewart2004@yahoo.com to request additional information.

I am a local Houston teacher who would like to attend the conference, but would need assistance with the registration fees. I teach World History and World Area Studies. There are several sessions that I know would be beneficial to me as a teacher. Fortunately, because I live in the Greater Houston Area, I would not need lodging assistance.
